Ye Min is one of the few surrealist artists in Myanmar. He studied art theory under artist Chan Myae Min and started painting in the realism style before moving to surrealism as he likes to add concept to his work. He starts his day with meditation and enjoys the feeling of serenity when painting alone. Most of his early work reflected the political situation in Myanmar and the government censored some of them during the military regime. He is also a photographer and videographer. His two favourite artists are Salvador Dali and Francis Bacon.
